The Card4Life Unit
Card4Life is a USB deice that plugs into any computer running Windows® XP of higher and has a built-in program that allows you to enter your medical information. It can be password protected if the user so desires and different security levels can be added to each screen as the cardholder desires.
The “pages” of information have fields for entering your vital medical information and accuracy is important. We recommend you print-out the blank medical information form and complete it by hand before entering data into your Card4Life. We also recommend the complete form be reviewed by your doctor to insure it is accurate and complete.
The development of the Card4Life was done in consultation with medical professionals, including physicians, hospital administrators, nurses, EMTs, health insurance professionals and tested by end users before it was made commercially available.
In addition to the “pages” with pre-defined fields for your medical information there is more than enough room for other important information such as x-rays, Living Will, organ donation information and many others. The Card4Life has a built-in utility that will convert any image files (document or picture) into a PDF format. This information can be password protected if you so decide.
Carrying Card4Life can literality save your life. For example, if you are in a medical emergency and are unable to speak for yourself, Card4Life can. It will provide emergency medical staff with vital information on your current prescriptions, your allergies, your emergency contacts and your latest lab results (if you have kept the information up-to-date).
